Sunderland have submitted an official bid for Bologna centre-back Jhon Lucumí on Monday morning, The exact figure is yet to emerge, but negotiations are underway as Lucumí’s £24 millon release clause has recently expired, according to Keith Downie of Sky Sports.

Bologna want to keep Lucumí, so this transfer saga is set to develop in the coming days.

Abdul Fatawu

Sunderland have also sent a bid for Leicester City forward Abdul Fatawu, which has been reportedly rejected, according to Eduardo Burgos.

The reported €32 million bid is not enough for the Foxes, with another club transfer record shattering bid needed from Sunderland to get the deal done.
